The cold days of fall and winter will soon be here and with them come New Hope’s Compassionate Hands Homeless ministry. For 2017/2018, the CPW is doing a “Warmth for Winter” program that will help us to begin collecting items that the men we host in the Compassionate Hands ministry will need.
Hello again New Hope! You may remember me saying in the past that one of the goals of the ministry in Haiti in addition to sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ is providing education to as many as possible. Each of our Cumberland Presbyterian Churches there also has a school. As these boys and girls complete their primary education and become young men and women the hope is to send as many as possible on to college. The New Hope Rotation Sunday School Class made a “Missing Man” table in the Welcome Foyer for Memorial Weekend to honor those in the armed service who are missing in action. Great job!
Many attendees at church on Pentecost Sunday participated by wearing something RED! Everyone looks festive!

It started as a frontier church, and continued as this area became a prosperous farming community. Now it is in a prime location for becoming a very strong church for future generations. This geographical area has not yet formed a “sense of community”, and it needs to. There will be some developmental issues we need to face together. A sense of community will make for better living for us all. So we...
