The Wilson County Community Help Center
Hello New Hope!
Sunday is our designated day to bring donations for the food pantry at Wilson County Community Help Center. Anita informs me that canned fruit, pork-n-beans, crackers (no opened packages can be accepted), and cereal are the most needed items. As you do your shopping please pick up some of these items and bring with you Sunday. Kroger is having a great deal on Post Cereals on Friday and Saturday (99 cents a box). Remember even though the first Sunday is the designated Sunday you can bring donations every Sunday because there are hungry people in need every day.
More Information on New Hope’s partnership with the Help Center:
Our Music Minister, Ben Spicer, is the Director of the Community Help Center and church wants to step-up its commitment to it. You can support the Community Help Center by bringing the following critical needs to a drop box here at New Hope EVERY Sunday (there will be a special emphasis need every month on the first Sunday). These critical needs are sent out in food boxes daily at The Help Center.
- Cereal (most critical, doesn’t matter what kind)
- Canned fruit, fruit cocktail
- Soups (any)
- Pork & Beans (and Beanie Wienies)
- Canned Meats (except tuna, which Publix provides)
